Emerson once wrote, “Good luck is another name for tenacity of purpose,” and I can’t think of a better quote for Kids Need to Read. Over the past 16 years, Kids Need to Read has been dedicated to providing books to children and helping them discover the joy of reading and the power of a literate mind. This has been possible because of our unwavering purpose and the steadfast support of individuals like you.

Recently, Kids Need to Read entered a new chapter in our organization’s story. Our new warehouse is brimming with opportunities waiting to be discovered by those we serve. As we approach the season of giving, we are thrilled about the new books, buddies, and resources we can provide to children throughout the year.

A heartfelt thank you to all who are part of our story, supporting our purpose and joining us in helping children discover the light of literacy in their lives. You are all like lucky pennies to us.

Your donation, regardless of the amount, will directly contribute to providing books, resources, and educational opportunities to children who need them the most. Whether it’s $10, $50, or more, your contribution will bring the joy of reading to children and illuminate their future.

Kids Need to Read

What an incredible moving day experience! Following weeks of meticulous preparation, the anticipated day arrived with the collective efforts of over 30 volunteers. Together, we successfully relocated more than 25 pallets from our old location to the new one.

Our new facility is now fully equipped for the upcoming giving season, poised to host over 40 events, storytimes, and deliveries already slated for the next two months. We eagerly look forward to a season filled with meaningful engagements and contributions to our community.

From book deliveries to community events, and engaging storytimes, Kids Need to Read is dedicated to promoting literacy in various settings—be it at home, in classrooms, or within the community.

Whether we’re bringing the magic of storytime to schools, providing libraries with new books to enhance their children’s sections, or actively participating in community events, Kids Need to Read is steadfast in its mission to reinforce and expand access to books where it is most needed. We are committed to creating opportunities for individuals of all ages to engage with literature, fostering a love for reading that extends beyond traditional educational environments.
