Accused of being a Wookiee and of harboring rebel spies, Kids Need to Read founder PJ Haarsma was taken into custody by Madalorian Mercs and thrown into jail, where he was mercilessly heckled and harassed for five minutes.

The hapless author was taken by surprise while hawking his wares at Phoenix Comicon.

Witnesses indicated that he offered some resistance.

At one point a bribe was offered, which was readily accepted by the gun wielding mercs.

They left the scene after a conciliatory handshake.

However, the monetary acceptance was merely a ruse to collect a higher bounty and the clueless criminal cheerfully watched his would-be captors retreat.

The bounty hunters soon returned.

Haarsma was taken into custody.

A calamitous public spectacle was made as the KNTR founder was heartlessly marched through Exhibitor Hall while being loudly mocked by the mercenaries.

He was soon incarcerated at the Mando jail located in the Star Wars neighborhood.

While imprisoned, the author viciously attacked an innocent, angelic lady, who was on a mission of mercy to redeem the prisoner.

Haarsma was then battered for his assault.

He took his protestations of innocence to a local television station, but no one cared.

The prisoner was eventually released on his own recognizance.

He was not fitted with an ankle monitor, but a tracking device was surreptitiously inserted into the green alien blinkie he wore on his shirt.

All bounties and bribes collected during the Star Wars Bounty Hunt benefited Kids Need to Read.

Kids Need to Read officials denied having any knowledge of who may have placed the bounty upon Haarsma’s head and declined to discuss the arrest of their founder further, other than to point out that Haarsma was a good sport throughout the ugly incident and to commend the Mandalorian Mercs for not bringing harm upon his person.

However, a KNTR insider, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed that the foundation’s executive director was inappropriately gleeful throughout the entire sordid affair.

An evidentiary document was produced corroborating the insider’s suspicions, but forensics will need to be conducted to verify the document’s authenticity.

This dude ain’t talkin’!

Tis the Season

Once Upon a Time… It was a dark and stormy night… This is the tale that was told to me…: Throughout history, winter has been a season rich in the tradition of storytelling, serving as a captivating blend of entertainment and education for individuals of all ages. This enduring legacy is exemplified in Beowulf, one of the oldest recorded stories, where the narrative opens with a compelling command, “Listen! we have heard of the might of the kings,”. No matter the opening line, the timeless power and importance of story and literacy is in its ability to connect generations and communities through the ages.
