Strength in Numbers

The idea that a little can go a long way is the driving force behind geek-giving.org, a new website designed to help raise money for charity.

The group challenges the geeks of the world to donate to charity just one percent of what they would normally spend attending science fiction conventions and events. That may not seem like much, but if even half of convention attendees participated, that one percent could add up to a whole lot very quickly.

The Kids Need to Read Foundation is one of the chosen beneficiaries of this program, and we send a hearty thank you to geek-giving.org for including us in their program. If you would like more information about this unique fundraising idea, please visit the geek-giving.org website.
