1200x627Hidden Pictures—these words conjure up instant recognition among most everyone throughout the generations. The memories of wonderful stories, illustrations, and projects inside the pages of Highlights magazine universally elicit warm and happy feelings. Through the generosity of our partners at Highlights for Children, Kids Need to Read provides Highlights and Highlights High Five magazines to children at underfunded schools and libraries, as well as at events, where parents immediately smile and talk of the magazines as the best thing to be found at doctor and dentist offices when they were young. Indeed, it was a huge disappointment if an office did not offer the magazines for perusing in the waiting room. But why not make these excellent magazines available to your children every month inside their own homes … and at the same time, make them available to other children lacking in reading resources?

Highlights for Children is conducting a #GivingTuesday campaign for Kids Need to Read this Tuesday, December 2nd! They will be matching every new subscription purchased on December 2nd with 12 issues of Highlights or Highlights High Five for our organization! These magazines are literacy-rich and excellent for adult caregivers to read to and with children—an activity vital to building reading proficiency levels! Please help Kids Need to Read assist disadvantaged children, while also providing for the beloved children in your life!
