Business Leader Tyson Breinholt Named KNTR Chairman of the Board

Tyson Breinholt

Kids Need to Read (KNTR) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Tyson Breinholt, who has previously served as a director on the board for one year, recently accepted the appointment. He takes over the position from Dr. James Blasingame, who honorably served as the KNTR chair for two years, bringing exceptional expertise and professional support to the organization.

For Tyson Breinholt, service is not something he gives, it’s who he is.  As a fifth generation Arizona native, he comes from a long line of pioneers who gave much of their lives to build this great state.

Tyson continues that legacy of service.  Outside the office, he can be found organizing and fundraising for political campaigns; volunteering his time in the Arizona Soccer Club and Southbank Club as a soccer volunteer and coach; supporting organizations like One Life at a Time, which provides free career services, including career coaching, resume writing, computer skills, etc. for unemployed and underemployed individuals; participating in commercial and residential association meetings and activities; and teaching young boys how to become great men through Boy Scouts of America.

Having earned an Eagle Scout Award as a teenager, he learned the value of always doing his best and giving back to his community.  Although his own son is too young to participate, he continues to use much of his personal time teaching other people’s boys leadership skills and self confidence, volunteering his time on weekends and holidays and sacrificing personal vacation time to attend scout camps and leadership training activities.

As a principal at J&J Commercial Properties, Inc., Tyson, with his energetic leadership and commitment to excellence, has been the driving force behind the highly successful Office Division.  His dedication to his work has earned him recognition by CoStar as a Power Broker every year for the past six years and he has consistently been one of the top five producing agents for the last 12 years within Commercial Properties Incorporated.  In recognition of the great leadership at CPI, they were named as one of Phoenix Business Journal’s 2011 Best Places to Work.

Commercial Properties Incorporated is the only local member of CORFAC International, providing clients with global reach and exposure.  CPI is the 4th largest brokerage and is the largest locally owned brokerage in the State of Arizona.  Last year CPI executed over 1,440 sales and lease transactions, more than double the next commercial real estate firm.  With over 50 agents specializing in Office, Industrial, Retail, Multi-family, Land and Investment properties, CPI currently represents 55.5 million square feet for sale or lease, and manages over 100 projects approaching 4.5 million square feet in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area.

The board members and staff of Kids Need to Read warmly welcome Tyson Breinholt as the new Chairman of the Board. His business expertise and community relationships will be of great benefit as KNTR continues to develop its literacy programs on behalf of underserved children and adolescents.

Tis the Season

Once Upon a Time… It was a dark and stormy night… This is the tale that was told to me…: Throughout history, winter has been a season rich in the tradition of storytelling, serving as a captivating blend of entertainment and education for individuals of all ages. This enduring legacy is exemplified in Beowulf, one of the oldest recorded stories, where the narrative opens with a compelling command, “Listen! we have heard of the might of the kings,”. No matter the opening line, the timeless power and importance of story and literacy is in its ability to connect generations and communities through the ages.
