A Message From PJ

Hi Everyone!

This is PJ. I just want to thank all of you for the enormous amount of hard work you’ve put into the Kids Need to Read project. It’s only successful because so many great people have worked around the clock to get the word out there. People have been toiling away despite sickness, family issues, jobs… everyone should be very proud of what we’ve done here.

As I write/post this I’m sitting in a secluded corner of my local library trying to finish the last few pages of the third Softwire novel. It’s very hard to concentrate because so much exciting energy is swirling around the KNTR project. Every time I turn on the computer I find another amazing email from someone who wants to help out or another donation from someone I haven’t heard from in years.

The long awaited interview with Nathan should finally be up tomorrow (so I’m told) and Nathan and I will be signing the next batch of books this week. If you’ve been waiting on an order, they’ll go out by this Friday at the latest.

Again, thanks for all your hard work – I can’t wait to see how this all turns out.

Lots of love,
PJ Haarsma

Tis the Season

Once Upon a Time… It was a dark and stormy night… This is the tale that was told to me…: Throughout history, winter has been a season rich in the tradition of storytelling, serving as a captivating blend of entertainment and education for individuals of all ages. This enduring legacy is exemplified in Beowulf, one of the oldest recorded stories, where the narrative opens with a compelling command, “Listen! we have heard of the might of the kings,”. No matter the opening line, the timeless power and importance of story and literacy is in its ability to connect generations and communities through the ages.
