By popular demand…Here’s the report on Nova Scotia’s KNTR Dinner and Silent Auction….
Some of the more enthusiastic Community HERO kids and I took over a community hall out in the wilds of Windsor .
We pestered people for auction items. (Which, at the end of the day included:
-Movie theatre gift certificates
-A basket of gourmet chocolates valued at $150
-Baskets of homemade breads/biscuits/cakes/etc
-new jackets/hats for the more horsey types
-Gift certificate for a $500 shopping spree at a local mall
-Art prints
-Basket of chocolate and wine…
All kinds of good stuff.
We decorated the hall with floating candles and various nonsensical items
We grabbed a fun band.
And at the end of the night we had raised $1800 and collected 6 HEAPING BIG boxes of books for our local school libraries.
Next Up…
The October Concert…
