Monsters Have Day Jobs Too and Some Haiku!

Kids Need to Read Charity Auctions presents a collection of books sure to please every kid, or the kid inside every adult. Humor, pop culture and plenty of monsters come together in these fun and imaginative books for all ages. All three books are autographed by illustrator and graphic designer Daniel M. Davis.

Caught Creatures has to be the world’s only book of monster haiku – yes, an actual haiku for every monster. After Halloween is a rhyming book about the many jobs monsters hold when they are done with their Halloween gigs – and it is an alphabet book to boot. Klawberry is the story of a cute, little monster girl, who finds strength and power in herself as she journeys through a not-so-cute world. The books are richly illustrated in Mr. Davis’ signature style, an imaginative blend of Edward Gorey, classic animation, foreign advertising mascots and Saturday morning cartoons. The result is unique and full of fun.

Start your hunt for this monstrously good package at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110248371827 . Bidding begins immediately and opens at $30.00. Bids will be accepted until May 4, 2008.

We are grateful to Steam Crow Press for their kind donation to Kids Need to Read, the charitable organization founded by author PJ Haarsma and actor Nathan Fillion. Money raised from these auctions is used to purchase books for under-funded schools and libraries, as well as for organizations that provide books for disadvantaged children.
