Morena Monkeyshines?

The 23rd Kids Need to Read Charity Auction offers a real ambassador of joy this week – one of our very own Terrify’n Space Monkeys; this one is signed by actress Morena Baccarin. Our furry charmer is a 15″ high, plush monkey wearing a shirt with a mini Kids Need to Read button and “Terrify’n Space Monkey” hand painted on the front by our fabulous KNTR kid, Kelly. Morena’s signature adds to both his collectability and his charm…maybe THIS monkey will be as graceful and charming as Inara herself!

We are grateful to the lovely and talented Morena Baccarin for signing our Monkey, to Sean Harry of Starfury USA for assisting KNTR in acquiring signatures and to Marty Dwyer and Denise Gary for donating the Space Monkeys to benefit our organization. Bidding begins immediately and opens at $40.00. Bids will be accepted until Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10pm ET/ 9pm CT/ 7pm PT.

Place your bids now in the comments section of this blog. Bids must be placed here to be considered. The winner will be notified by PM and will have 5 days to donate the high bid directly to the Kids Need to Read website at http://kidsneedtoread.org (or you can click on “KIDSNEEDTOREAD.ORG HOME” at the top of this page.
