Dec. 5 – Paula Brings Home a Box of Literary Goodies

Our first author auction was a resounding success! Kids Need to Read is happy to announce that Paula will soon be receiving her box of literary goodies from Frank Beddor, author of The Looking Glass Wars series. Paula’s donation of $110.00 was the winning bid in the 13th Kids Need to Read Charity Auction, which concluded on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at 10pm EST.

100% of the money raised in these auctions is used to buy books for schools and libraries in need. Kids Need to Read would like to thank Frank Beddor for so generously giving to the project. We would also like to thank everyone who has participated in our auctions — your support has raised over $1,500.00!

Be sure to check back at http://community.kidsneedtoread.org/ this Sunday, December 9, 2007 for a VERY special auction. Any fan of PJ Haarsma, author of The Softwire series, will be thrilled with this rare treasure!
