KNTR at Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest: Nerdy St. Nick/After Dark Party/Geektastic Gift Wrapping

Join Kids Need to Read at Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest, returning this December 4-6 to University of Phoenix Stadium! Discover your inner geek from the folks who bring the pop-culture event of the summer to Arizona in the winter!

Fan Fest is a pop culture convention featuring actors, top comic book writers and artists, programming, exhibitors, vendors, and costuming for fans who cannot get enough of Phoenix Comicon. The Kids Need to Read booths 302 & 304 will feature unique high-quality art prints, our highly popular Danger signs, KNTR 2016 calendar, reading buddy adoptions, and many other literacy-related items for sale. We will hand out free Highlights magazines to the kids, host geek ornament raffles, and more. Help us put books in the hands of well-deserving children!

Nerdy St Nick

How many people can say they have shared their wish list and taken pictures with Nerdy St. Nick?! You can have that opportunity in the photo area across from the Kids Need to Read booths during Fan Fest! The Nerd-Clauses (a little literary reference there) include Santa Trooper, Joker Claus, Harley Quinn Claus, Bat Claus, and Captain Ameri-Claus. We also have word Howler (Arizona Coyotes mascot) will be joining us on Friday from 4:00–5:00 PM sporting his finest holiday sweater! Donations appreciated! Times are:

Friday, December 4th, 10:30 AM–6:30 PM
Saturday, December 5th, 10:30 AM–6:30 PM
Sunday, December 6th, 10:30 AM–5:00 PM

Fan Fest After Dark

For our adult supporters, Kids Need to Read will also be at Blue Ribbon Army Presents: Fan Fest After Dark at the Circa Ballroom, Glendale Renaissance Hotel on Saturday, December 5th! Starting at 9:00 PM and running until Midnight, this 18 and over only event offers a winter-themed party for socializing, dancing, or just good old people watching! There will be DJs, adult beverages, and a few other fun tricks the Blue Ribbon Army has up their sleeves.

Need a corsage before the After Dark party? Kids Need to Read has you covered! Stop by the Kids Need to Read booths (302 & 304) before the shindig! Limited quantities available. All proceeds will benefit Kids Need to Read. Many thanks to Hip Pocket Creations for donating their handiwork!

Are you ready to buy the fan in your life that one of a kind item from the convention floor, but lack the ornate craft skill that is decorative gift wrapping? Kids Need to Read has you covered and is happy to announce we will be providing geektastic gift wrapping for donations this year! Armed with tape and wrapping paper, our cheerful elves can be found at Booth 119.
