Announcing the Kids Need to Read 2012 Geek Prom Auctions!

Everyone here at Kids Need to Read is gearing up for Phoenix Comicon 2012! It is going to be an EPIC weekend of GALACTIC proportions! We very excited about this year’s Kids Need to Read Geek Prom sponsored by Bookmans! It is going to be an AMAZING night!

As always, we will have some super-uper-Big Dipper auctions at Geek Prom. This year we also have a very special celebrity auctioneer! That’s right folks. Our good friend, actor Louis Lombardi (24, THE SOPRANOS), will be at the helm of our auction. Funny part is . . . Lou is going to be auctioning HIMSELF off!

Here is a list of our auctions for this year:

  • A Star Wars Animated Luke Skywalker Limited Edition Maquette (Donated by Pop Culture Paradise)
  • A Star Theater Pro Planetarium (Donated by ThinkGeek)
  • A Wampa Rug (Donated by ThinkGeek)
  • A Star Trek: The Next Generation Print entitled “Where No Man Has Gone Before” signed by Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, and Wil Wheaton (private donation, signatures provided by Phoenix Comicon)
  • Arizona Avengers Superhero Lunches: Our friends, the Arizona Avengers, will be auctioning THEMSELVES off! The lucky winners of these auctions will get to have lunch on Sunday with their favorite superheroes! More details to be announced.

Breakfast Sunday morning of Phoenix Comicon 2012 with Louis Lombardi, Patricia Skeriotis,   Adam Goldman (CEO of Mojo-Bone Software Studios), and Isabelle Mangouni (COO of Mojo-Bone Software Studios).  Breakfast will be at the Terrace Cafe in the Hyatt Regency, downtown Phoenix. (Time to be determined.)

Voice over role in an upcoming Mojo-Bone Software Studios, AAA video game (PC, X-Box, and Playstation platforms). Winner will receive:

  • Two nights’ accommodations in Los Angeles (all ground transportation in Los  Angeles included)
  • Attend table read and dinner with cast
  • Spend a day at the recording studio while you and some of the cast record your voice over role
  • Receive pictures with, and autographs from,  the cast of the game (those who are present at the table read/dinner or the studio recording session)
