Author and Illustrator Jackie Morris Joins the KNTR Advisory Council

Kids Need to Read enthusiastically welcomes Jackie Morris to the foundation’s Advisory Council, where she joins author PJ Haarsma, actor Nathan Fillion, and writer Margaret Bostrom. Jackie is an illustrator and author living in Wales in the UK. She has two children, Tom and Hannah, and read to both even before they were born. She has a passion for stories and books, despite having been a very late starter when it came to reading. Her work is informed by or a response to the natural world, and a love of animals and birds and all things wild. Jackie’s books, which include The Ice Bear, Tell Me a Dragon, and The Snow Leopard, have been published in many languages around the world. Her personal blog, Drawing a Line in Time, is a celebration of the beauty found in art, writing, and nature.

Jackie often collaborates and shares project ideas with Kids Need to Read. The artist recently contributed an original watercolor painting to the foundation for use in its 2012 wall calendar, note cards, and more. This beautiful piece of art brightens the Kids Need to Read office with its vision of peace.

Welcome to the KNTR Advisory Council, Jackie!
