Hats off to the 11th Kids Need to Read Charity Auction!

Here’s your chance to own an authentic Serenity movie cap, personally autographed by actress Jewel Staite. This jaunty black cap is signed “Stay Shiny (heart) Jewel Staite”.

Jewel not only played the much-loved character Kaylee in Firefly and Serenity, but can currently be seen as Dr. Jennifer Keller on the SCIFI Channel series Stargate: Atlantis. Fans of both shows are going to love this item!

Place your bid now, in the comments section of this blog. (All bids must be placed here to be considered.) Bidding begins immediately, and opens at $20.00. This auction ends on Wednsday, November 14th, at 10pm EST/ 9pm CT/ 7pm PT. The winner will be notified by pm. The winner will have 5 days to donate the high bid directly to the Kids Need to Read website at http://kidsneedtoread.org. (you can also click on “KIDSNEEDTOREAD.ORG HOME” at the top of this page.) Click on “Donate Now” then click on “Make a Donation”. Your signed Serenity cap will be mailed to you as soon as your donation is received.

100% of the money raised will be used to purchase books for school libraries through Kids Need to Read, the charity project begun by author PJ Haarsma and his good friend, actor Nathan Fillion. Thank you to NathanNation Ninjas, Hels and Kaz for generously donating this shiny item to benefit the KTNR project!
