Employees Community Fund of Boeing Arizona (ECF Boeing AZ) has honored Kids Need to Read (KNTR) with a $4,000 grant award to be used to stock The Page Coach with books. The Page Coach is KNTR’s mobile conveyor of literary treasure to children living in low socioeconomic neighborhoods of the Mesa/Phoenix metropolitan area and throughout Arizona. Kids Need to Read utilizes The Page Coach to connect children with books through various organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, transitional homes, food banks, recreation centers, reservations, libraries, schools, and special events.

This is the fifth gift KNTR has received from ECF Boeing AZ, having previously received funding for the READ Together, Kids-N-Peace, and Reading Revolution programs, as well as the $30,000 Crystal Vision Award in 2015 to fully fund the purchase of a van and vehicle wrap to create the magic that would become The Page Coach!

KNTR sincerely thanks ECF Boeing AZ for helping to fill The Page Coach with literary treasure on behalf of children who do not have adequate access to books and literacy support. Kids Need to Read is looking forward to serving the children who will benefit from Employees Community Fund of Boeing Arizona’s foresight and generosity.
