Kids Need to Read is the privileged beneficiary of the annual Holiday Book Drives at two Barnes & Noble Booksellers locations: Desert Ridge Marketplace and Chandler Fashion Mall. The Holiday Book Drives are the bookseller’s annual program where customers can purchase books to donate to each store’s chosen cause.
The Desert Ridge Marketplace location is partnering with Kids Need to Read on their 2014 book drive to benefit the Title I schools of Paradise Valley Unified School District. The school system includes 1 high school, 2 middle schools, and 15 elementary schools. We have taken on the task to help collect over 4,000 books to donate this year and we need your help!
This year, we at the Desert Ridge Barnes and Noble are very excited to be partnering with Kids Need to Read in order to provide our Holiday Book Drive recipient, Paradise Valley Title I Schools, with the combined passion, enthusiasm, and commitment of our respective organizations to spreading a thirst for knowledge, creative thinking, and love of adventure that only books can foster. Additionally, we are the privileged recipient for the fifth year in a row at the Barnes & Noble located at Chandler Fashion Mall. These gifts enable Kids Need to Read to serve numerous schools, libraries, and children’s literacy programs awaiting much needed reading resources throughout the coming year.
Kids Need to Read is grateful to everyone who has taken part in this important yearly book drive. Help us give the gift of literacy this season by helping children in need now through December 31st, 2014.
