KNTR Peace Packages: Violence Prevention for Kids

Written by Denise Gary

Responding to the increased need for schools and communities to provide violence prevention programs to their youth, Kids Need to Read has created Peace Packages for every school, library, and literacy program receiving our books. KNTR Peace Packages are designed to provide children of all ages with alternatives to aggression. The books and activities will inspire peaceful problem solving skills, as well as demonstrate that the world’s greatest leaders have been peace-makers.

You can help Kids Need to Read in our endeavor to change lives through this program. Not only are these special packages of books provided in our regular donations, but we hope to make them available to many other schools and organizations serving at-risk children and adolescents, including those on our waiting list. Every $10 contributed to the KNTR Peace Packages program will provide a hardback book in a package; $150 will provide an entire package for one age group. Please visit the Kids Need to Read Peace Packages web page to make a contribution, to view the Peace Packages book list, and to find a link to youth violence information.
